Speaking Art Foundation (SAF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Visual Arts and Culture by supporting artists who rarely get the chance to showcase their work.

Solo shows and exhibitions are often too expensive for young talent or promising artists. We believe that every artist deserves a platform, not just those who can afford it.

Tribute to Dr. Roop Chand – A Retrospective Art Show
We are organizing a Retrospective Art Exhibition to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Roop Chand (1936– ), an artist, writer, and visionary who shaped the Chandigarh Art Movement, nurtured countless young artists, and founded the National Art Centre.
Dr. Roop Chand is an unsung hero of visual art and literature, deeply grounded in both basics and advances of his field. He worked with Le Corbusier, and his exhibitions were often visited by Presidents and Prime Ministers of India. Yet, he never used this as an advantage—choosing instead to remain humble and continue mentoring young talent.
This tribute exhibition will bring together his important works—spanning from the Bindu series to monumental sculptures—along with archival material that reflects his journey as an artist, mentor, and cultural pioneer.
Your contributions will help us:
– Curate and preserve his artworks for display,
– Document and publish a catalogue of his life and work,
– Organize the exhibition for public access, including students and young artists
-Celebrate his legacy through talks, workshops, and screenings
To make this possible, we seek your support.

Every contribution, big or small, will help us bring this vision to reality.
✨ Join us in paying tribute to Dr. Roop Chand—an artist, a mentor, and a cultural pioneer who gave everything to art, but asked for nothing in return.
